In each region of the Northwest Bronx, we organize locally around large campaign issues that have a local focus (housing, schools, city services, etc.) and quality of life issues including safety, traffic, parks, and sanitation.
Neighborhood organizing is about:
- Respecting ourselves enough to live in a neighborhood that is clean and safe
- Making democracy real so that the people have a real say in what happens in their neighborhood
- Learning how to effectively make change and being a leader
- Creating a united community where neighbors know their neighbors and the people who represent them
Our work is organized into three regions:
Heights Region (Kingsbridge Heights and University Heights)
Northern Region (Fordham-Bedford, Bedford Park, Norwood, Riverdale, Woodlawn)
Southern Region (Mt. Hope, Crotona, Burnside, Tremont)
